The City Clerk is the record keeper for the City of Rogers.  As such, the City Clerk’s Office is responsible for the following: preparation of City Council Agendas, scheduling City Council committee meetings, all records pertaining to City Council and Planning Commission meetings, including minutes, and keeping a permanent record of all Ordinances and Resolutions that are passed by the City Council.

The City Clerk’s Office is also responsible for the issuance of business licenses (a requirement of anyone doing business within the City of Rogers), peddler’s permits, and for-profit-fair licenses.

Also, the office is responsible for the issuance of Private Club Permits and collection of monthly 5% supplemental tax (form) on all alcoholic beverage gross receipts (Chapter 4 of the Rogers City Code) and 2% Advertising and Promotion Taxes (form) (Chapter 48, Section 48-85) for all Hotels and Motels in the city.

Advertising or Request for Bids or Proposals for any city department is coordinated through the City Clerk’s Office, as is all Vehicle, Property and Liability Insurance additions, deletions or claims.  Visit our Request for Bids page for current postings.

The City Clerk’s Office maintains the “No Knock List” for residents that request their names be added.  Residents of Rogers can contact the City Clerk’s Office to be added to this list by calling 479-621-1117 or emailing cityclerk@rogersarkansas.com. This list is a requirement to purchase by those who are doing door-to-door sales in Rogers.  A current City of Rogers Business License is also required or any valid license from any other city in the State of Arkansas in order to go door-to-door.  All door-to-door sales persons must carry the No-Knock List with them as well as the City of Rogers Business License or other valid city license.

This office also issues cemetery deeds, handles legal publications for the City and provides general information, both in person and on the phone.
