Materials Response Team
...equipped to adequately handle Level I and Level II
incidents.
Staffed by two State certified hazardous materials techs
from each shift, the Department's Hazmat unit is equipped to
adequately handle Level I and Level II incidents.
As a participant in the Northwest Arkansas Regional Hazmat
response team program, the local effort at such an incident
can be supplemented quickly with additional certified
responders and specialized equipment. By using regional
resources, a pool of quality responders is available to the
community at a reduced shared support cost for a Level III
incident which is beyond the local staffing and equipment
capability.
