Welcome to our web page, and thank you for your interest in
the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of Rogers.
Rogers has always done whatever it takes to provide
recreational opportunities to our residents and guests. This
has been done through a unique partnership of public and
private entities.
The Parks and Recreation Department is part of the
government of the City of Rogers. Its Parks and Recreation
Commission oversees the “business” of running the parks
system. Its staff maintains the parks and is vital to the
operation of the sports and recreation programs offered by
Rogers Community-School Recreation Association.
The Rogers Community-School Recreation Association sets
rules, policies, and procedures for most community sports
and recreation programs. The Rogers-Community School
Recreation Association also oversees the operation of the
Rogers Activity Center.
Rogers Youth Center, Inc., owns the Rogers Activity Center,
as well as the park surrounding it, Foerster Park. Even
before the City of Rogers had a fully-staffed parks and
recreation department, the Rogers Youth Center offered
sports and recreation opportunities for the youth of Rogers.
Rogers Public Schools have been an indispensable partner in
providing recreation opportunities. The school gymnasiums,
stadiums, and PE facilities are annually used for thousands
of practices and games.
So long as this spirit of cooperation continues, we are
confident that the Parks and Recreation Department of the
City of Rogers will remain a regional leader in the field of
recreation.
