The Rogers Greenway and Trails System is planned to loop nearly 60 miles throughout the city. The system uses floodways, drainage systems, utility corridors and parks property for much of the trail locations. Plans are for the system to link schools, parks, commercial centers and neighborhoods to each other and to the larger Northwest Arkansas region with connections to the trail systems of surrounding cities and the Heritage Trail System.

The city is working diligently to complete new trails and link the existing trails together to provide recreational and alternative transportation routes for Rogers’ citizens. Work to improve constructed trails is also proceeding with plans for trail amenities and development of additional trailheads expected in 2011.
